About KITAR

We didn’t start with software. We started inside the problem.

Before KITAR there was WeRentFashion: three years of renting clothes to people across Malaysia, and of washing, mending and sending those same clothes out again. Handling that many wardrobes taught us one thing over and over. People own far more than they wear.

Why KITAR exists

The next thing to go digital is the wardrobe.

We digitised our photos, our money and our music. The wardrobe stayed a dark cupboard, and what goes into it mostly stops being seen.

Buying is easy. Managing what you already own is hard: listing clothes by hand takes too long, and styling, planning and everything after happen in separate places, if at all.

AI has finally removed that friction. One photo can find every piece you’re wearing, name it and make it whole. So we built KITAR to make a wardrobe visible and useful: to plan your week from it, to learn your style from it, and to open it up to the people whose style you love.

What we believe

People should wear more of what they already own.

  1. Your wardrobe already has value.

The best new outfit is usually already in your cupboard. KITAR’s job is to get it back out.

  2. Seen, not sold.

KITAR doesn’t sell you clothes, doesn’t show ads and doesn’t sell your data. It’s built around what you own, not around what to buy next.

  3. Yours by default.

Everything is private until you publish it. Your Style DNA never leaves your account; what you share is a look you chose to show.

  4. Made in Malaysia, for how Malaysia dresses.

The office week, Hari Raya, kenduri, the trip home. KITAR is designed and built here, around the occasions people here actually dress for.
